Here is a beautiful example of the three rare titanium mineral species that include blue benitoite, black neptunite, and orange joaquinite on a natrolite-crossite matrix.  This miniature specimen comes from The Benitoite Gem Mine, now called the California State Gem Mine, in San Benito County. California. It is the only place in the world that these mineral can be found together let alone this size, and the only place in the world that gem quality benitoite is found.  The neptunites are the most numerous with about a dozen crystals present, all very lustrous and sharply terminated.   There is a single 5-6mm sharply terminated benitoite crystal on one side next to a large neptunite and several micro joaquinites clustered on another side. This is primarily a neptunite specimen, but it is still qualifies as a classic 3-species rare combo from one of America's classic mineral localities.  Overall size is about 1.75" x 1.25" x 0.50" thick.
