I am always amazed when I find these intact or even close to complete when most are so delicate. With all of the work that has been done at the mine over it's 100 year history, it is always amazing to find a stony floater that is intact or undamaged.
This one is more blue that most. It has a small area of transparency but is still mostly included with crossite, but in this case instead of looking gray, it is more the benitoite blue.
This small crystal specimen weighs in at 1.15 carats, and measures approx. 7.70 mm x 7.62 mm x 4.48 mm. It fluoresces beautifully under shortwave UV light.
