Here is a beautiful polished cabochon of benitoite.
Highly polished benitoite gem cabochons are so hard to photograph.
The cabochon is polished on all sides, with a slightly curved flat bottom.
The cabochon is very translucent to transparent in areas, almost wish tis one was cut and not polished.
This highly polished cabochon shows some slight bi-coloration, and some zoning is visible.
It's color looks mostly deep blue but does look lighter depending on the lighting.
Amazing to look at using magnification, to view all the interesting internal inclusions.
A beautiful and larger benitoite cabochon, that would look amazing in any piece of jewelry if one so chose.
