Here is a beautiful Boulder opal cabochon. The shape is freeform.

Beautiful color play all around, mostly blues and greens.

As with many of these natural polished pieces, there is some slight pitting. The magnified photos make them look larger than they are. 

Some fill these in before polishing, but then it would not be 100% natural. 

The bottom has been cut and polished flat for mounting.
