Here is a beautiful round cut "Strawberry Garnet" from the Umba Valley Region of Tanzania.
As with most garnet like this, they can look dark in low light, but this one is lively even in low light.
It can look very red in most lighting, and have just a hint of purple in other lighting giving it more of a Raspberry or Burgundy coloring.
The garnet is very eye clean, with 10x magnification, only very slight inclusions can barely be seen hidden in the girdle.
It is well cut with very vibrant color, and is a very lively stone.
