Here is a beautiful pink, and very gemmy morganite beryl
from a pegmatite in the Aracuai area of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
This is a very glassy, large etched morganite crystal.
It is very pink, but the video below washes out the color, but to the eye it is quite pink like the photos.
The back side has a few flat faces
and a flat area which shows patterns of what the morganite formed on.
Some believe these these are not etched, but full growth form,
as they formed within material that has been etched away,
leaving this look and why they refer to it as etched.
No matter what, this type of formation is just stunning.
