If you are looking for a highly fluorescent Benitoite specimen that won't break the bank, here it is.
This would be great in a Shortwave UV display.
This specimen was extracted from a vug in a large boulder of greenish blue schist.
There was little to no white natrolite present in this boulder.
The crystals are only on the front face of this piece, which is almost completely covered.
Most of the benitoite crystals in this specimen are not fully formed or are very weathered.
Bright blue fluorescence using shortwave UV lighting,
and red under longwave UV on the white to colorless parts.
The specimen is a perfect candidate for a shortwave UV display.
