Here is a really nice miniature size specimen from this famous mine.
The only place in the world that these 2 minerals can be found together.
This specimen of benitoite and neptunite, crystal within a matrix of bluish green schist along with some snowy white natrolite.
The specimen consists of about 9 benitoite crystals, as well as many neptunite crystals, large and micro.
Many all of the benitoite crystal have at least one high luster face, giving the specimen some great sparkle.
The benitoite crystals are all transparent and gemmy,
but on the smaller side with the largest measuring just 8 mm.
There is even a small benitoite crystals that formed on top of a neptunite crystal.
The neptunite crystal have good luster on the faces,
and some show the red flash if the light hits them just right.
Overall a very nice example of this multi mineral specimen.
