From a 2015 find in Poland, these are such eye-catching and unique calcite from the Grabiszyce Quarry.
The specimen were actually collected starting in 2015,
but they were not revealed to the public until 2018, and it looks like the find is depleted.
This specimen has intense orange color and beautiful crystallization.
This piece is a fine example of this exciting material featuring a full coverage of sharp, translucent, rich orange colored crystals.
The calcites form in radial "sprays" consisting of narrow crystals on brecciated basalt matrix.
Because of where these formed, it was very difficult to recover pieces with no damage and good coverage, or specimens larger than miniatures.
This piece has great coverage on the front side, the lighter areas just appear to be lesser formed calcite.
Does not appear to have any real damage.
The piece is highly fluorescent and shows an unusual muted creamy-golden fluorescence under long-wave UV light.
The piece stands on its own as shown.
