Out of an older collection, come this wonderful specimen.

It is a large mass of sphalerite, on which formed fluorite and calcite.

Even though a large mass of sphalerite, the top side has some very nice terminated faces.

There is also a second generation of sphalerite crystals,

that formed prior to the fluorite and calcite crystals forming.

The Fluorite cubes are mostly blue with purple in color with some slight zoning,

but color in some of the smaller cubes are pale purple ot almost colorless to the eye.

The largest blue cube formed over sphalerite crystal that can be seen within.

Purchased in 2004, It comes with the old collection cards.
