Here is an absolutely amazing cabinet sized specimen from newer production at the Okorusu Mine.
The Best of the Best!
This specimens comes from the well named "Blue Diamond Pocket",
which got its name not only for the coloring, but for the diamond like zones within the crystals.
This blue diamond pocket fluorite will look dark with no lighting, but any type of lighting brings this alive!
To the eye, it looks more teal in color depending on the lighting, a truly remarkable coloring that the camera lens just cannot do justice to.
If you look at it straight on it looks teal, but angle it slightly or look at the crystals at an angle, and the blue comes through.
The Fluorite not only has this incredible coloring, but also the crystals have great clarity,
with very high luster faces and stepped complex growth on all of its corners and edges.
Within the fluorite you can see the dark, almost black, diamond phantoms within most of the crystals.
There is a small amount of matrix on the back side of the specimen, that have some micro quartz crystals.
The bottom has been cut flat, and specimen displays very well even without a stand.
