Here is a great small cabinet size specimen of these amazing green garnet on matrix from this long closed mine.
These crystals, despite their size, are still some of the darkest, richest green Chromium-bearing Grossular crystals I've seen from any locality.
The crystals, although small, are all very transparent / gemmy.
There are literally dozens upon dozens of very small, bright, lustrous, dodecahedral neon green chrome grossulars,
on a matrix covered in micro crystals of pale green diopside crystals.
The specimen has a lot of sparkle due to the high luster faces of the garnet an micro dioptase crystals.
Crystals can be found on all sides.
