Out of an old collection, come this beautiful specimen of this under appreciated mineral.
This Zn-Pb-V mine, is said to have produced the finest specimens of descloizite in the world, which closed in 1978.
This is a large cluster of Descloizite crystals with very well defined faces and edges,
and with a slightly usual morphology for the samples from Berg Aukas.
This is a hollow cluster, the bottom shows many vugs within the specimen.
There are two generations, the first near the base are transparent to translucent brown bladed crystals.
The second, are black with a metallic sheen and can look silver depending on the lighting.
The specimen is very 3 dimensional.
A very unique and attractive specimen.
