Here is an amazing hematite specimen.
N'Chwaning hematites are among the finest examples of the species in the world,
with some of the largest, most lustrous crystals ever found.
This specimen hosts hematite crystals with a very unusual elongated habit on the larger crystals.
They are all sharp, metallic, silvery-grey colored crystals within and atop of the matrix,
with minor secondary crystals on a matrix composed of hausmannite and gaudefroyite.
Most face of the crystals are remarkably lustrous, with the highest mirror like reflectiveness you'll see in a hematite crystal.
Accenting the specimen are small, well formed calcite crystals.
Just an exceptional specimen overall.
