Red Beryl Crystal on Rhyolite Matrix

Here is a really nice specimen of red beryl in rhyolite matrix.
The single large crystal measures 14 mm x 8 mm.
It has great color and is a mix of included and transparent areas.
It has great hexagonal form, but is only partially exposed, and is terminated on the top.
As you can see in the photos and video, the natural forces during growth split the crystal,
and a small area was filled with rhyolite between the two pieces.
A very nice specimen.
