Here is a very nice thumbnail specimen of red beryl crystals on a rhyolite matrix.
This is a small cluster of DT crystals, the largest measuring 6 mm long.
They are dark, almost a raspberry coloring.
There are also micro crystals of black bixbyite present on the rhyolite matrix.
A small, but very nice specimen.
