Here is a beautiful specimen of light pink rhodochrosite, with quartz and calcite.
The pink coloring is made even lighter because the rhodochrosite rhombs are covered in druzy micro quartz crystals.
The quartz crystals are a milky white color, as are the micro calcite crystals.
