Smithsonite

Here is a very nice, small cabinet size specimen of Botryoidal Smithsonite on matrix, from Choix, Sinaloa Mexico.
It looks mostly bi-colored being a light lavender over pink, but depending on the lighting and background, the top layer can look, lavender, grayish blue or even a pale teal.
The smithsonite is very translucent, even being this thick.
The previous owner called this the "octopus" which I can see why.
A very nice specimen from this locale.
