Here is a really nice cabinet size specimen of Wavellite on a shale matrix.
One side has full coverage of green to bluish green botryoidal mounds of Wavellite,
which has a soft, velvety look to it.
On the back side there is some slight wavellite growth,
that is even present in the cracks of the shale.
