Out of an old collection, come this amazing large plate of Wulfenite,
from a classic wulfenite locality, now long closed.
Hundreds of crystals from micros up to 3 cm,
that are translucent to transparent, butterscotch-yellow in color,
cover this large limonite gossan matrix. There are multi generations of wulfenite formation.
The crystals close to the matrix are small and thin,
the more square window pain type, and mostly very transparent.
Later formation, they are more rounded crystals that are thicker, much larger, and translucent.
It’s almost impossible to find a pristine Glove wulfenite on matrix, especially of this size.
The majority of the crystals are complete and undamaged,
however there are a few that are damaged, but most are not easy to see.
If not for this, the specimen would be priced much higher,
so here is your change to get such a large plate from the Glove Mine at a fairly reasonable price.
