Here is a beautiful mineral carving by this well known Brazilian mineral carver.
The Hummingbird with his head cocked slightly looking at you, is carved out of banded amethyst.
He has a carnelian beak, and is mounted on a specimen of albite crystals. 
The piece does come apart, and there are two holes for a foot pegs to go into. 
A very cute and affordable mineral carving.
