Here is a beautiful mineral carving by this well known Brazilian mineral carver.
The Hummingbird with his head cocked slightly looking at you, is carved out of banded amethyst.
He has a carnelian beak, and is mounted on a natural piece of quartz with tourmaline crystals in it.
The piece does come apart, and there is only one hole for a foot peg, while the other stabilizes the pose on the quartz.
A very cute and affordable mineral carving.
