Well if you are looking for something that is as close to actual mining as you can get without actually traveling out to Montana and digging it yourself, then this is it.
Here is approximately 20 to 25 pounds (depending on the mostire or clay content), of concentrated sapphire gravel from virgin deposits of the Eldorado Bar, outside Helena Montana along the Missouri River.
I say approximately because it can weigh slightly more if it is damp as some virgin material is.
This gravel can contain sapphire, garnet and gold. The gold miners back in the day could not retrieve the flour gold, and so many of my customers have reported really good colors when panning the sand/dirt.
On occasion a picker might be found, but mainly fine flour gold is what has been found.
This gravel was dug, concentrated down to 1/2 inch minus size to remove all the oversize rocks, and then bucketed up. As you can see in the photo, this virgin material is quite dirty which makes it impossible to "high grade" or remove anything. Nothing is ever removed from material I sell. It is as virgin as it gets without you personally digging out of the ground yourself.
Like any type of mining or treasure hunt, you never know exactly what you will find. You may or may not find sapphire, garnet in this virgin material. Due to the fact that this is all virgin gravel, I cannot guarantee just what you might find, just like being at the mines. There are no sapphires added to this material. Please understand that the average yield from even a 50 pound bucket is one sapphire. So you never know what the box just might hold, but I have many happy customers.
This gravel is filled with great colorful river worn rock from the Missouri River. In addition to raw gravel from virgin ground, you may find other types of minerals, fossils, hematite, garnet and sapphire. Also you should save and pan the dirt since this area is known for great fine flour gold and small pickers.
So you will get one Postal Medium flat rate shipping box, lined with a plastic bag, filled to the brim with this material, just as the photo shows.
